COVID-19 Shipping Update
Please note that our employees and customers are top of mind, therefore, based on the recommendations of the US and state government officials, we will temporarily close our warehouse for a minimum of 2 weeks starting 3.20.20
During this time our website will remain open and your online orders will be processed. PLEASE NOTE our shipping window will experience a 2-3 week delay while our warehouses remain closed to take every necessary precaution to keep our Lauren James family safe and healthy.
How do I start an exchange or return?
To start a return or an exchange, you will need your email address, order number, and the shipping zip code corresponding to the original order.
If you don’t know your order number, you can usually locate it by searching “order confirmed” in your inbox or “teamlj@laurenjames.com”
What's your policy on exchanges & returns?
To be eligible for a return, your item must have been purchased from our website and be unworn in the same condition that you received it. Tags must also be attached to the garment/s in their original condition.
COVID-19 Returns Update. Please note that we have adjusted our return window to account for unexpected delays in shipping. Returns must now be received within 30 days of receipt to be eligible. Alternatively, exchanges can be made within 60 days of receipt of goods.

Damaged goods that are not a result of a manufacturer’s defect will not be eligible for a return or exchange; EA Makeup stains, pet dander, etc.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment. Allow 3-5 days for this process.
Late or missing refunds
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account and/or your issuing credit card company statement. It may take some time before your refund is officially posted. If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund, please contact us at teamlj@laurenjames.com.
Sale items
Only regular priced items may be refunded and/or returned. This rule applies to items under our "Sale" tab. Promotional and/or flash sale items may still be exchanged if applicable.
Exchanges
Exchanges can be made within 60 days of the original purchase. Availability of your desired replacement item is not guaranteed, but we will make every effort to ensure you are satisfied with an alternative. If there is a problem with your exchange, we will contact you via phone or email to discuss and address solutions.
Exchange Due to a Manufacturer’s Defect or Incorrect Shipment: We strive to maintain the highest level of product quality and customer service. (Exchanges for defective merchandise must be exchanged for the same size, color, and style as the defective item.)
Gifts
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be emailed to you.
If you are returning a gift, we will issue a credit via email in the amount of the original purchase minus shipping upon inspection of the returned items. If the original gift giver desires a refund, please refer to the general returns section.

How will I know when my exchange or return has been completed?
If you're requesting an exchange, you'll get an order confirmation email once the new order has been placed. If you're requesting a refund, we'll send you an email as soon as the return is processed.
What's the typical timeline for an exchange or return?
Exchanges typically take 7-10 days based on shipping times. If a mistake was made on our end, we’ll do our best to expedite the correct items to you!
Please allow 10-14 days for returns and funds to be deposited back to the original payment source. We typically see shorter timelines, but sometimes delays occur due to seasonality or payment sources.
Can I exchange my order for other items?
Absolutely. You can exchange your order for item/s with lesser or greater value. Depending on the exchangeable amount of the original item, you will be given a gift card for an exchange amount less than the original item. Conversely, if you are exchanging the original item for something of a greater amount you will be required to pay for that difference.
